this is actually a WIP but i wanted to go ahead and post it and get some feedback on it. at some point i am going to finish the dress and work on the hair (the hardest part imo).
its been about 6 hours work so far and i think it is looking pretty good.

Very Cool! Sorry I missed this, saw it in your journal. Better late than never. I like the almost Nagel look to this piece.

thanks man....that's cool you caught the nagel reference...i didn't want to over do it so i stayed away from soft colors.

I miss Pat Nagel's work, so I appreciate it when other artists take the Nagel look, but take it up a notch and put a new twist to it. I've been a fan of Pat Nagel since I was a student in art school. His style was so rich and clean. You did a great job and it is a nice tribute to Pat Nagel.

I have that too, but you'll get there... maybe if you take a different/inspiring perspective to it? :giggle: I just got an "inspiring" idea from your style - make her promote Fanta propaganda... the German cokeacola yah!!

Gradients, or mesh work (on some of the skin)? I can't seem to get either to work with me, because there's too much fumbling with the color pallet/selecting/deselecting. Arrrgh.

I'm liking it so far; the jewelery stands out well, and the anatomy is spot-on. Is this from scratch or with a reference photo?

If possible, you can play with the contrast to make her body pop out a little more. From the looks of it, her face seems to have a bit more depth.
