swine flu by Satansgoalie swine flu by Satansgoalie
apparently the "deadly" swine flu is coming from mexico.

even though the american gov says it wants to do everything in it's power to protect us citizens it has yet to close the border with mexico...hmmm, i wonder why that is?

yes. you did.

my swine flu piece and my response to your question does not contradict my libertarian piece.

according to the libertarian party platform [link] part 3 section 4:

3.4 Free Trade and Migration
We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders. However, we support control over the entry into our country of foreign nationals who pose a threat to security, health or property. (emphasis added as it relates to your question regarding my swine flu piece.)

Youre right, a country has the right and the duty to protect his citizens. However, Mexico is under tons of crap, and the mexican goverment solutions is only allow the poorest people to go to another country and become the problem of this new country...

Besides, the illegal immigrants are not real mexicans, (i mean, the real term refers a civic notion not a racial status), they are just poor bastard complete used to depends on the gov helps (any gov). They have a incapability to work for their own country and they are going to be useless in "their" new country. Im not americanphilic, but in this case, i support the americans than are against the illegal immigration.

Note: just ask to any "mexican" immigrant about mexican history... they know a shit about Mexico. The real mexicans stay in their country and work for it, immigrants are mostly just indians than borned on mexico, not mexicans

The very first case of swine flu was in USA in the 50´s -60´s.
Then it was in several other countrys in the 70´s.
This year it was in Mexico.

Whats the point of closing the boarding if the virus got the years before?

Mexico didnt threating or even though of closing boardings with USA when anthrax and several other virus were there,
It seems closed mind.

i don't mean any disrespect but you've missed the point of this particular piece. it's actually a commentary on the lack of enforcement of u.s. immigration laws and border security and how not even a deadly disease will make u.s. officials abide by the laws they have enacted.

Kudos to that.

I already said this, but almost each country in the world is carring deadly deaseas.

Ever wondered why they have to put you like 20 shots and several pills when you visit India? Its because of all the active virus there.
Really ironic considering all the stuff it exports to USA.

Actually the first case of swine flu in USA is from 1976 (you can goolge it). The first country in America to have it.
The olderst case is from 1918 in Europe.

And Mexicos FIRST case of swine flu is from 2009.

its hard to feed a family when you get less than 2 dollars a day.
the food costs just as much down there as it does in the USA.
Not trying to get all defensive, but if I was born there,
id do anything i could to get a job that would feed my family.

i can understand that. I would never fault anyone who wants to come to this country to make a better life for their family. however, there is a legal/safe way to do it...

but if the origin of deadly disease is one country, countries that border the affected one not only have a right but an obligation to close their border in order to protect it's citizens.

So what your saying is that USA should close the board with any infected country?

Wow, in that case USA would be closing boarders with everyone.
Almost everycountry is carring a lethal active virus. The diference is they are not in the spothlight.

Lets see..
Bubonic Plague - Europe
Leprosy - Egypt
Malaria - Asia
Typhoid fever - Africa
Cholera, Anthrax, HIV, Smallpox... and more. They are all active, and lethal.

Thats what people of the old ages did. When a person of a village was sick they ended up killing them, burning them, burried them alive, locking them away, putting them in unhuman quarintines in wich they had no contact until the problem was solved by their own. (cof*death)

:bulletred: In my opinion, a person cant live like that, living in fear, and thinking exclusion is the best and only way to be safe/dealing with the problem.
No one wants to be sick, if someone gets infected it was obviously by accident.. bad luck. Not on porpuse.
It would be wrong to threat anyone less or to demand others to force a reclution because of their health status.

But each day a new virus/disease is born. Obviously it takes years for it to grow to a lethal level. So its silly to think that swineflu is the most lethal thing in the world.. cause next year a new virus will take its place in the spothlight.

in my opinion...

the american government wants the power to issue a national id/worker permit. however they know that the american people would never stand for this.

therefore the powers that be refuse to enforce the immigration laws (i.e. closing the border) in turn allowing a massive influx of illegal immigrants into the country.

This, they know will cause the people to demand that the government do something about this problem.

Once the demand reaches an unbearable level the government will offer as the "only" solution a national id (to see who is and is not a legal citizen) and a national workers card to make sure that only those they have in their system are allowed to work.

PROBLEM - REACTION - SOLUTION

1. they create or allow the problem.
2. the people demand action (solution)
3. they then offer a solution that the people would have otherwise not tolerated had there not been this specific problem (which they created in the first place!)

I definitely agree that the government is striving for a national I.D. I saw an article somewhere, and was linked to Alex Jones' website where it said some scientists believe that swine flu was cooked up in a lab.
Oh yeah, and last night I watched the video about DHS border control in Texas linked off of your "constitution free zone" piece. Mix this in with the martial law drills going on across the country, and this stuff is crazy, we need more people spreading the word about this. I sure hope we're wrong about where swine came from.
