Naturally, the common people don't want war. But after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, a parliament or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifist for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.

i love my country but i have to admit we have had some real criminal assholes in power right for a long time now and most people here are too apathetic to do anything about it.
btw, i think guns are illegal in washington d.c. even though our 2nd amendment guarantees the right of every citizen to own one...coincidence? i don't think so.
