But only if you're willing to pay me...with money. I don't want credit on a website. I don't want a mention in a tweet. I want money.
This is what I do for a living. I have a wife and two kids that I support with the skills that I've developed. I understand that there are people out there that have a band or have a company and they're trying to get things off the ground and may not have the funds to pay for a designer. In those instances I would suggest saving your money and waiting till you do. It's sort of insulting to be asked to do work for someone who offers to mention you in a tweet. Where else in society would someone feel comfortable doing that? I don't mean to come off as a jerk. I really don't. I'm a really nice guy (I think...) But I mean, you wouldn't ask a guy to fix your car for free would you? You wouldn't expect to get a meal for free just because you compliment the chef on his work, right?
All I'm saying is, designers are people with families and bills just like everybody else. If you're needing some work done, treat it like everything else in the working world - pay for it.
Remember, you always get what you pay for. If you pay some kid to design you a logo for $50 you're gonna get a logo that looks like it cost $50. You'd have been much better off paying a professional what they ask. You'll get a better product. Never underestimate the value of graphic design to help sell you and your product. Trust me, it's worth it.

Having made a big deal about all this, I have to say that at this time I have neither the time nor the desire to take on any extra work. I'm flattered that you like my work enough consider me but now is just not a good time.
Thank you for understanding...
